Different than their Marineland counterpart:
1. These have two separate power cords for timer control. (No need to flip a switch 4 times a daybr>
2. Lengths are actual light length not extendable wings
3. Reef Lights use 3 watt LED reef growth bulbs not 1 watt (reef capable) bulbs
Quickly becoming the new king of aquarium lighting (with the new "high end" HO/PUR LED emitter bins),
Better "shimmering effect" and "eye popping" colors from your coral and fish otherwise found in Metal Halide.
This aquarium light type uses award winning semiconductor technology as its light source.
The difficulty in the past (and where many still misunderstand the complexities of LEDs) is correct wave length of the emitters. For example the infrared emitter uses Gallium arsenide (GaAs) and/or Aluminium gallium arsenide (AlGaAs) for its semiconductor material while Blue (460 nm) uses Zinc selenide (ZnSe), Indium gallium nitride (InGaN), Silicon carbide (SiC), and/or Silicon (Si).
Essential for growing corals.
Achieving the correct wavelengths in the correct amounts has been the challenge and why a simple LED flashlight has about as much in common to an advanced aquarium LED as paper glider to an airplane.
With better PAR, PUR, lumens per watt than any T-5 or metal Halide fixture.
The new lights last up to 50,000 hours
Produce little or no useless yellow/green spectrum light and are very compact.

This light is working perfectly on my 20 gallon high reef tank!
I am really happy with this purchase it has worked perfectly. I hooked it up to a reef light controller and it has been a flawless setup. I spent a lot of time researching LED lights for my reef tank (20 gallon high nano reef)and this one has fit the bill. Before this light I had a faulty marine land LED that wouldn't turn on half the time (bad switch) and was causing my jedi mind trick monti pora and my ora birdsnest to brown out and start to die. Under this light my jedi is coming back and the green tips on my ora birdsnest are very bright. Before installing the ReefLight I couldn't see the birdnest's green tips. I highly recommend this product it has brought out some really rich colors in my coral.

Reef Light Aquarium coral grow lights
These are the most amazing aquarium lights I have ever seen. All the ugly yellow and green are gone from my tank and replaced by beautiful bright white and atinic blue. In 20 years of growing corals I have never seen anything grow them as fast as these lights. Over time they will even take plain green and orange corals and turn them into brighter eye popping neons.
The bulbs last 20 years instead of 8 months.
They use 65% less wattage than T-5's or Metal Haliads.
That is a 65% savings in your aquarium electric bill.
These Reef lights will not raise the temperture of your tank.
No noisy fans to create heat and no chiller needed.
In most cases these lights will pay for themselves in less than 2 years with the savings listed. Not to mention they will make your tank look brighter, cleaner and clearer.
These lights are a must have for any serious Reef Keeper!!!
