I purchased this light to replace a previous 332 watt amazon purchase that got hot enough to melt the fish tank supports.
Ordered it yesterday and it was on my doorstep today WOW!
Packaging was great. Plugged it in and it is very bright. My tank is a 150 gallons salt water with some mushrooms,anenomes and polyps. The previous lighting was 2 48" 220 watt power compact JEBO kits that worked great for about 8 years. I would say this LED light set is as bright or slightly brighter then 1 220/260 watt power compact light kit.
The light is very white like 10,000 Kelvin.
I LOVE how cool it gets, I would say it is under 130 degrees afte being on for 4 + hours.

Great light for your freshwater plant tank
I am converting my 55 gal set up to a plant tank and debated for weeks over what light to buy. I didn't want to deal with T5 heat, bulb replacements etc. Marineland's freshwater LED is $$ and doesn't look like it would be as bright as this one. This light is very small and light weight but extremely bright. It works fine with my glass canopies. Arrived next day with no issues. I'll update in a couple of weeks on how my plants like it, or not.
Update - Half of the LEDs are not working after 24 hours of use. Returning and ordering another one.
Aug 12 - Replacement light is working great. My plants are all growing well. I am very happy with this affordable LED fixture. If you have an 18 or 24" wide tank get two. One works great for 12" wide tanks.
well priced item but my fishes can't stand it
PROS: Simple set-up, slender shape. Fits onto my 40 gal long. You can't beat this pricing for LED.
CONS: There is a switch that turns the light on/off. However, there isn't any way to dim the lights or produce gradual lighting effects. The sudden on/off lack of transition lighting stresses out my fishes into hiding for the entirety of its ON time. At this point, I'm hoping the 39W is enough lighting for floating plants, so I don't end up shortening my fish lifespans. I tried transitioning them with lamplight before turning on the LEDs, but they still stress out.
Opinion: Unbeatable deal for fishes that are used to high lighting environments or densely planted tanks.
